What we see is never the whole of what exists. Every image is a fragment. Every judgment begins from a particular point of view.
CURRENT STATUS / IN DEVELOPMENT
01 / THE SPACE BETWEEN LOOKING AND KNOWING
We move through the world receiving impressions: a face, a silhouette, an image, a gesture, a few seconds of somebody else's story. Our minds assemble those fragments into conclusions, often before we are aware we are making them.
Yet perception is not identical to truth. What seems obvious from one position can look entirely different from another. Distance, memory, emotion, expectation, and context each change what an image appears to say.
PERCƎPTION begins with a question: how much of what we believe we understand has actually been seen, and how much have we supplied ourselves?
WHAT REMAINS UNSEEN CAN STILL SHAPE WHAT WE SEE.
02 / THE FRAGMENT AND THE WHOLE
One fragment can be precise without being complete. A single detail might tell us something meaningful, but it cannot contain an entire person. The same is true of a garment, a photograph, or a creative work taken out of context.
The study explores the relationship between order and disruption. When familiar images are separated, rearranged, obscured, or revealed in a different sequence, their meaning can change. Visual information becomes less certain. The viewer is asked to participate, to question the first interpretation rather than accept it as final.
That instability is not a defect. It is an opportunity to see beyond the immediate surface.
03 / CLOTHING AS A POINT OF VIEW
Fashion has always existed in the space between how we present ourselves and how others interpret us. We choose shapes, colors, textures, and symbols; the world receives them through its own associations. Meaning is created somewhere in between.
ETHEREAL ESSENCE treats clothing as a medium for expression rather than a final explanation of the wearer. With PERCƎPTION, that idea moves closer to the act of seeing itself. Graphic composition, concealment, emphasis, negative space, and the relationship between surface and depth become ways to question the certainty of appearances.
This is a creative direction under investigation, not a claim about final garments or production decisions. The work is still forming, and its unfinished nature belongs to the study.
04 / THE PROCESS IS PART OF THE WORK
A study does not need to pretend that every answer has already been found. Experimentation includes reconsideration: removing what no longer communicates, testing what happens when elements shift, and learning which decisions serve the deeper concept.
The development of PERCƎPTION brings motion, composition, and interpretation into conversation with the brand's clothing language. The aim is not complexity for its own sake. The aim is to make the audience more aware of the act of looking.
Some of the most valuable moments in a creative process happen before the final object exists. They reveal how an idea grows, and why certain choices endure.
05 / STILL BECOMING
If IDENTITY asks who we are, BEGINNING asks where our vision came from, and DICHØTOMY asks how opposing selves coexist, PERCƎPTION asks what happens when the world sees only one part of us.
The questions connect. We are influenced by what we notice, defined in part by what we choose, and understood through the interpretations of others. None of those processes remains static.
PERCƎPTION is currently in development. No finished collection or release date is being announced here. This page records the inquiry while the work takes shape.
